Wellness is a lifestyle oriented toward optimal health and well-being of the mind, body, and spirit. By developing a holistic personal wellness and prevention plan, an individual is able to establish and maintain a healthy body and a focused mind.
The Wellness Wheel is a tool for organizing and developing a personal plan to explain, promote, and achieve greater individual wellness. The Wellness Wheel was first modeled from the theory of Individual Psychology and following extensive research across disciplines, researchers “identified a number of characteristics that correlated positively with healthy living, quality of life, and longevity” (Myers, Sweeney, 2005).
In this workshop you’ll learn how to use the Wellness Wheel as a guide for developing a holistic personal wellness and prevention plan. You have the power to become more aware of the interconnectedness of each dimension within your life and will learn how they contribute to the greater goal of optimal health and well-being.
