Let’s kick off the weekend by meeting for a group walk around Theodore Roosevelt Island. We’ll walk at a moderate “normal” pace, we’ll carry a conversation while still soaking up the great outdoors.
There are two trails we’ll walk for a total of 2.5 miles. We’ll end at memorial plaza (pictured). Please bring water.
Swamp Trail: At 1 ½ miles, this loop trail is the island’s longest. It passes through swampy woods and cattail marsh. The trail is part pea gravel and part boardwalk.
Upland Trail: This ¾ mile trail traverses the length of the island. It passes though forest and loops around the former site of the Mason mansion.
We’ll meet at the entrance of the pedestrian bridge, Jessica will be wearing a “Mindful Modern Living” shirt. We’ll walk together across the bridge!
The closet Metro is Rosslyn and parking is available on-site at the island. Please allow enough time to get to the walk location, we’ll begin walking promptly at 6:05pm. Bring water!!
