Ingestion. Inhalation. Creation.

All are essential to my life. My work is an exclusive form of my self-expression – no matter what is forthcoming in my future, I will always be creating.

I was once asked, “What type of ideology is used when creating work?” Creation is provoked, I believe, by the human emotions we experience every moment of ones’ life. My work is driven by what makes me tick, what I loathe, can’t forget, what I desire or aspire. More than likely they are going to be somehow affixed to those human emotions. If they weren’t sprung from those emotions than how would they be housed? My claim is not that the function of art is to propose another kind of something that applies to every case- -universality. However, I think it’s inevitable. Our world is so globally interconnected now; we are forced to be more open to the ways life is approached by others, their experiences, and relations. I enjoy that type of ideology. I truly believe there is a vast amount of knowledge that we can learn from different cultures of the world. What fascinates’ me is how different everyone is and how much we could learn from one another. I’m curious how people live their lives and what they do. Why do they do what they do? I want people to be inspired by one another, to use one another as resources; we ourselves must learn how to interconnect information to build upon.

I hope I am able to share my experiences of life and the world through my eyes, while instilling a sense of curiosity about the world within my audience. My work is not the impersonal production of a truth that is addressed to everyone. It is an intimate production.

What type of system do you use when creating work?
