Learn Bumble Bee Breathing Technique

Ever have moments when your breath becomes short & your chest becomes tight? Or maybe moments when you feel overwhelmed and frustrated because your kids won’t sit still to do their virtual schooling & your to-list keeps growing? 📌 Have you ever tried Bhramari pranayama (Bumble Bee Breath) to help release that tension and focus your mind? 🐝

I was introduced to this breathing technique during my foundations yoga teacher training but never really practiced it until one day at work, a client of mine (not a yogi) mentioned she uses it when she feels herself getting overwhelmed or stressed.

💡 I decided to try it again and its easily become a go to in stress management toolbox. 👌🏻 Surprisingly helpful and incredibly easy to do! After only 30 seconds my mood feels positively different.

Give it a try and get anxiety/stress/frustration to Buzz Off! 🐝

Close your eyes or soften your gaze. Place and gently press your index fingers on the cartilage to close your ear holes. Then, keeping the lips gently sealed, inhale deeply through your nose and on your exhale make the sound of the letter M (a humming sound). Sustain the sound until you need to inhale. Then repeat: Inhale through the nose, then hum like a buzzing bee as you exhale.

After a few rounds of inhaling & exhaling like this I guarantee you’ll feel better! 💥

💖 Benefits Of Bhramari Pranayama:
• Instant way to relieve tension, anger & anxiety
• Calms down the agitated mind & nerves
• Helps alleviate headaches
• Improves concentration & memory
• Helps in reducing blood pressure

Fun Fact: In Sanskrit “Bhramari” means type of Indian bee; “pranayama” means breathing technique.
